How to Use the “Unlock Group” Action in Botassium
If you've temporarily restricted a WhatsApp group to admin-only messaging using automation, the “Unlock Group” action in Botassium lets you reverse that setting—allowing group members to send messages again.
This guide walks you through how to use this action to re-open conversation channels at the right moment in your flow.
What is the “Unlock Group” Action?
The Unlock Group node is an automation action that restores messaging permissions to all participants in a selected WhatsApp group.
Use this when:
You’ve finished posting an announcement or lesson
A discussion or Q&A window is about to begin
You want to re-engage your group after quiet hours
A temporary lockdown period has ended
This action only works on groups you manage and have admin access to.
