Archive Chat

How to Use the “Archive Chat” Action in Botassium
If you want to declutter your WhatsApp inbox and hide conversations that no longer need active attention, the “Archive Chat” action in Botassium helps you automate that process.
This guide explains how to use this action to keep your chat interface organized by archiving conversations at the right time in your workflow.
What is the “Archive Chat” Action?
The Archive Chat node is an automation action that moves the current WhatsApp conversation to the archived list. This action is useful when:
A conversation has ended
The user is no longer active
A ticket or support case is closed
You want to pause follow-ups or hide old leads
Archiving a chat doesn’t delete it—it simply hides it from the main inbox until a new message is received or it’s manually unarchived.
How to Set It Up
Open an Automation Flow
In your Botassium dashboard, go to Automations and open or create a flow.Drag the “Archive Chat” Node
Add the node at any point where you want to archive the conversation.Connect It to Any Event or Condition
You can use this action after:A user completes a process
A conversation is marked inactive
A label is removed (like “Needs Follow-up”)
A support outcome is finalized
No extra configuration is needed—just drag and connect.
Example Use Case
You run a customer support automation. After the user confirms their issue is resolved:
The flow triggers the Archive Chat action
The chat is moved out of your active inbox
Your team focuses only on unresolved or open issues
The Archive Chat action works in all WhatsApp automation flows, and is especially helpful for inbox cleanup, support resolution flows, follow-up management, and inactive user handling.
